Was able to catch up with Harry Hieke earlier today and he updated me on the status of the Lionel J repainting. In total just under 100 engines were sent to Harry for re-painting and he is now working on the last 5 . He sent me some pictures of the work including some who also had their Aux Tenders sent in for weathering. Also included in some weathering work on a 3rd Rail Decapod and two Lionel Big Boys. The wind deflectors and curtains really enhance the appearance of the engines. Here are some pictures of the completed work. Luckily the delivery services are still functioning so if you see your train here it should be coming soon.
