Layout hung from celling

We did a ceiling hung two track layout in our sons room. Instead of a shelf i mounted 1/2"x1/2" strips to the ceiling every 12 inches. Hung another 1/2x1/2 piece from chains under the ceiling mounted pieces. On each wall i mounted a wooden L bracket to keep the whole thing from moving when the train changed direction. It was cool as you could see under it and easily see it from the sides. We even built bridges for some sections to change it up a bit.
