Hi Stacey, You certainly made a judicious use of the space allotted. The layout is a little gem, and I especially enjoy your artistic skill(s) at making realistic use of a variety of foliage.  And you didn't skimp! The stream is masterful. Congratulations on your complete success with the project. I'd imagine the client is very happy with the results.

Nice layout!   How do the kids like it?   Can they run it unsupervised?  I wonder as it is N-gauge, do they easily bump the layout and de-rail the trains?

it will be installed with a button that they can push to have them go around. Yes I have learned that N Scale is much more sensitive then other scales. It will be enclosed in the wall with a glass covering it.. So well see!

Beautiful, Stacey! And you might appreciate this, since there is indeed on O gauge connection.

I still dabble in N scale a little bit and bought that Bachmann Trailblazer set pictured in your photo below.

I liked it so much, I decided I had to have it in O scale. Williams by Bachmann made the identical locomotive, so with a little help from old Williams (the Rutland boxcar), Lionel (the Skelly tank car and the Wabash coal gondola) and MTH (the Chesapeake & Ohio bobber caboose), I did.

Stacey:  you are tempting me to get out my N-gauge and build a small portable layout!!   I have a ton of Kato track and locomotive and cars from before I switched to concentrate on O-gauge.   Thanks again for sharing your excellent project!  -Ken

it barely takes up any room. and with the right size you can have a kick *** layout!!

Thanks everyone for all the positive comments and keeping in touch during the process of the new layout. Sooo Here is it!! The 2nd layout that was built for the same hospital!!

This again is N Scale .. but so awesome!! The lights and millions of people really make this layout!!!

Very impressive museum quality work, Stacey. Definitely on par with the professional layout builders who advertise on this and other modelrailroading sites. Your work is even more impressive since it's common knowledge that the more miniaturized a scene is, the greater the skill level and craftsmanship that's needed to achieve the level of detail and realism your displays show. And yes, HARMONYARDS, I concur, most definitely bravo and kuddos to Stacie for doing such a gracious thing for hospitalized children. Such an act of kindness, Stacie, is equally impressive.

Ditto that! I've always been amazed at how transformative even a simple ground cover can be. Yours is terrific, great depth and colors, terrific water features with the livestock. Love it!

WOOOOOOOWWWWW!!!!  Phenomenal work Stacey!!  You have created not one but two masterpieces here!!!   Your eye for detail is superb and your execution of detail is equally superb .... especially in N gauge!!   You have also chosen the perfect trains for these layouts!  I'm sure the kids will love it ... how could they not!!  Thanks for sharing the photos of your creativity!
