1. Pretty happy with the standard LC+ remote. Not that happy with the mechanical Lionel switch controllers. We're considering controlling the switches with LCS. Which created a bunch of questions. From my limited research it looks like I can run LC, LC+, LC 2.0 engines on a layout with switches and accessories controlled by LCS. But I can't control the engines, correct? To run LCS, I have to have a Legacy system also, right? (All of my switches are LCS/Legacy compatible.)

2. Do I need the Legacy system to control Railsound freight cars with electro-couplers?

3. Will the LCS control the magnetic uncoupling track?

Thank you gurus.

LC and LC+ locos need their remote or the Bluetooth App. LC+2.0 is TMCC with Bluetooth.

If you have TMCC-equipped switches, you will need a Legacy #990 Set or Cab-1L/Base-1L set. If your switches and accessories are operated by LCS ASC2s or older Lionel control devices (ASC, SC-2, etc.), then you will not need Legacy. Regarding Uncoupling tracks, an ASC2 will control up to 8.

I thought LC+ 2.0 engines were scale. if not, are they going to look odd with my scale freight?

Maybe I should just pony up and get the legacy version... hmmm.

I think most of them are technically semi-scale. With the LionMaster locos (like the Big Boy), it's hard to tell the difference. The thing looks and sounds massive. Mine pulls 9x of these K-Line PFE reefers and a wood side caboose and the train looks great. Here are a few photos and videos of the train running.
