What are your thoughts on the new 3 piece B&M set being offered by the LCCA?

As a modeler of the B&M, I am interested in a single power unit but not the set on offer. I don't think that the B&M had a cabin car similar to the caboose that is part of their set.
I ordered this set. In my opinion, I don't think it's too expensive for a special run. I like the paint scheme and colors. I don't have any infinity for B&M in particular. Also, it's Lion Chief Plus, and I think this is an added bonus.
Guys
The order deadline is March 30TH.
AND WE ARE LOOKING AT DELIVERY BY THE END OF THE YEAR.

Not my cup of tea, will pass on it.

thoughts are this should have been posted on the lcca forum....kinda thats what its there for.-jim
But its a post about an O-gauge product, why must it be forced into the LCCA category? We've spun way outta control here with too many forums! "Lets see... I have a thought..... in which of 20 categories must I place it?" Placing it in only the LCCA forum will keep many others who didn't know about it from finding out.

Another forum cross-over controversy. Why do these things keep happening?
I like the B&M set. Not too crazy about the Lion Chief content, though. I agree with the comment above about how it would likely be better with TMCC.

Because you have to be a member of the LCCA to purchase the outfit?
It seems to me that choosing the most specific forum for the topic at hand is appropriate.
I have noticed that a lot of LCCA related posts are put up twice, once in the LCCA forum, and once in the General 3 rail forum.
If the management wanted to do away with a bunch of the forums, that wouldn't bother me one bit.
I am happy to be a participant here, and try to abide by the management's rules.
I'm not a member of the LCCA; but I think they made a great choice with LC+. Anybody can run it on their layout. I would have joined LCCA if just the powered GP7 was offered for sale. Why offer the fantasy caboose as a separate sale piece and not the loco? I don't see the logic of that decision.

Same here, but from a different angle. They ought to "thin the herd" when it comes to forum topics. The last thing I have time for is combing through a dozen forums. If a topic isn't here in the general forum, I won't be seeing it! I'm glad when things like this are cross-referenced, at least.

I had the same thought when I saw the ad.
Personally I think we have way to many Jr.moderators on this forum who obviously have nothing better to do than to b&%#h about where these things are posted. Know one is forcing you to read it! OK That aside; I think it's a nice set but would have preferred a separate sale engine.

"C W": What about allowances for non-LCCA members, who may possibly looking at the general forum, then see that this set is offered ... & then deciding to join LCCA so they can buy it? Your plan would eliminate this scenario.

Chris.... "mixerman" Jim.... made the original comment on "where" the info be placed. I was replying to him.
If anyone has an interest in ordering this Boston & Maine set, the order deadline date is March 30. If you are not currently a LCCA member; there is still time to join the club and get your order in. If you have any questions, or are interested in joining the LCCA and ordering this limited edition product offering, please call me at 248 709-4137

Good point. It's good for these things to be posted here - I for one wouldn't have seen it otherwise.
Not directed toward you Ron.
I purchased most of the other LCCA offerings. I will pass on this one. Not my preferred paint scheme for B&M.

According to that logic, posts about the TCA ED York Train show should be here too.
Doesn't really make any difference to me.

No, I am referring to the fact that this is a currently available O gauge product, its not about a train club event.

So people couldn't read about the show, and decide to attend as a guest, or even join the TCA?
We'll just have to disagree on this one.
