Interview with Matt Ashba, Lionel's Product Development Manager
 
Lionel's Product Development manager Matt Ashba met with the Lionel Collectors Club of America (LCCA) this past spring and gave our us an update about the new Lionel Adventures engines that will be introduced in the Christmas Holiday catalogues.  Click on the video link below and learn about Lionel's new control system intended for the Thomas the Tank train and new Lionel Adventures engines.  Matt also provides an update about the "made in the US" boxcar series.  Thank you Matt for making the time to talk with us and giving  our LCCA members an update on upcoming new Lionel products.

The Lionel Adventures system looks interesting and might be a good and fun way to get youngsters and parents into the hobby. It sounds user friendly and pretty much plug and play with a remote control.

 

Glad to hear the 2012 Christmas boxcar is going to be made in the U.S. I collect the Lionel Christmas cars and plan on getting one every year. Even nicer knowing it is going to be made in the U.S.

 

Looking forward to the Lionel Christmas catalog.
