If I understand the system in order to have wifi you pay $180 for Lionel wifi plus $50 for lionel/apple app plus $300 for Apple I PAD an you cannot use any other tablet only Apple IPAD. Is this correct? oh and if you have any other LCS add on you need a cable to use to access the system for $15 plus.

To use a PC with the Legacy System Utility you will need the WiFi LCS module and power supply, a PC with the free LSU program.
To use an iPad with LCS app you need the iPad and the free LCS App download.
To use an iDevice with iCab then you will need the $50 App.
Sounds a little more like a statement than a question Bob but I hope that helps.
OK what are LSU and icab ?
LSU is the Legacy System Utility which allows you to create System Modules (on writable modules), back up databases from the Legacy system and do some editing of the database as well.
iCab is a App that replicates most of the functionality of the Cab 2 for a iDevice such as an iPad, iPhone, or iPod. It communicates via WiFi to operate the trains, throw switches, etc. Again not all but most functions.
Here is a link to the LCS information page.
You can download LSU and it's manual from here.
Marty thank you for your help.
