Hello,

I am curious how you would mount a LED single light in a O gauge house..would you drill a hole and

drop a 6 foot line with the LED then connect to the buss wire?  Question is, E5B8E62C-00A9-4544-A865-A09303A7FC30how or what do I use to mount the LED to table surface under the house.

I realize this is a elementary question, but I would like to know how you do it.

Well, all things IMHO, you could use double sided tape to mount the LED I believe. I think you might want to consider just what type of effect you are going for. One has to be careful where the light is placed or you could end up shining it right into a person's eyes as they move around and view the layout. Mounting the LED at the top of the building and aiming it down can eliminate or reduce the chance of that happening but that effect may not be just what you want. Maybe you want the lower level lighted and the second floor dark? There are a lot of options out there. You could look at Evans Designs, one of our sponsors, website and get some ideas of what lights are out there. You will need a diode in the feed to the LED. Some of Evans' units come with that prewired.

I saw an example in a magazine where a guy drilled a hole in the back of the building up high and where it wouldn't be seen. Then he mounted the led at the end of a short length of drinking straw and pushed the straw in, gluing it when he had the right length.

On eBay, weHonest sells strip LEDs with adhesive backing with 3 strips of LEDs on each wire. Four of these costs $5.99 I think. Hard to beat that.
