LED LIGHTS -Length of connecting cable | O Gauge Railroading On Line Forum

Thinking of purchasing a "Plug Light system" from Woodland Senics. Need some help, the length of the connecting cable that connects the buildings to the light hub is not long enough, is it possible/OK to splice the cable to make them longer. To reach all the buildings , a cable may need to be 8 feet. If possible, what wire size should be used, I have a bit of phone wire (24ga.) that I bought from Radio Shack.

I know this is a simple but all help / advice is appreciated.

With #24 wire, you can make it 100 feet and not see any difference, no problem.
