There are several "Plain Jane" Rail King steam engines on my railroad that need lighting on their tenders. The plan is to put two 2mm red LED marker lights and one 5MM warm white LED backup light on each tender. The engines are Rail King 4-6-0 and 2-8-0 types, both with PS2.

Where can the LEDs be connected to the PS2 3V and 5V electronics so they work directionally (in backup only)? Pictures of the attachment pints will be much appreciated.

12-pin

Note there are crimped wires that pop in and out of the housing - 12-pin shown here.  This picture from the following thread with similar application:

It appears your tender does not have the 8-pin housing so you'd need that too.  GRJ or one of the MTH gurus can tell you the part number of that crimp and housing or if you ask around one of the guys may have some spare/unused parts from an upgrade kit.  Then add resistor if using LED instead of bulb for backup light.
