I've decided to go with Evans designs bulbs. At the great price per bulb, I'm not going to spend the time on making my own circuits. That said, I'd REALLY like to save a few bucks here, while still lighting properly. I have 2 types of cars - Lionel silhouette windowed cars and MTH cars with interiors. The Lionel cars have 2 to 3 interior bulbs, the MTH cars have 2 interior bulbs. Evans has 2 solutions - individual bulbs and a premade 4 bulb lighting kit.
Those of you that have gone down this path:
1) Have 2 or 3 5mm bulbs done the job? If not, did 4 bulbs? I can sand them or coat them if that is needed
2) Is the lighting as uniform as the incandescent bulbs?
