For the sake of argument about properly cutting wires and soldering an electronic device : Has anyone ever tried to dim the LED strips inside of passenger cars with a marker or very watered down acrylic paint? I’ve searched this site and other search engines to no avail.

Many modelers have used Tamiya clear orange paint to give a warmer look to the harsh blue-white light from some LEDs.  It will also tone down the brightness.  A translucent paint or magic marker will work the best.

Here is a search on the forum for Tamiya Orange.  Several of the results discuss this in more detail.

Thank you so much for the replies. I’m just trying to get my ducks in a row. After my 3 hr round trip the other day to save shipping time I still can’t use the airbrush. I needed a moisture trap to use the Badger with my compressor  I ended up buying a whole kit with compressor, my badger won’t hook up to it.  It’ll  be Thursday before a fitting arrives. With any luck after painting the interior the LEDs won’t be an issue.
