Can you run Lionel Legacy Engines with ProtoSounds 3.0? Thanks.

Lionel Legacy locomotives can be run on a layout that uses MTH DCS system. A cable is required to connect your Legacy system to the MTH TIU.
Thanks. Will they work as if run with TMCC or with the full features and functionality afforded them under Legacy control?
The Legacy engines will operate in TMCC mode. You lose all the Legacy features running via DCS.
Guys, I believe Eric Siegel runs Legacy engines on his layout with full functionality. It does require both DCS and Legacy systems though.
Michael,
I believe Eric Siegel runs Legacy engines on his layout with full functionality.
Only if he's operating them from the Cab-2 Legacy remote.
Thanks guys. Does that mean if I TIU interconnect my Legacy base that I can run PS 3.0 and Legacy engines (with full feature control) on the same loop as along as I use each engine's respective remote controller?

Yes, even if you do not connect the command base to the TIU.
Thanks Barry. So are you saying that if I leave my Legacy system installed the way it is and simply add DCS to my layout, both systems can coexist without interconnection? And then as long as I use a Cab2 for my Lionel Legacy (or TMCC) engines, and a MTH remote for any DCS engines I'll be OK? Even if both kinds of engines are on the same loop? Thanks.
