These arrived yesterday. The Lionel Legacy SD70 ACe is superb and the Walking Honor Guard boxcar is so well done and compliments the other Tomb of the Unkown Soldier boxcar. Here they both are:

Thanks Dave. As you know...the layout is a work in progress...more work than progress, I'm afraid! Merry Christmas

Don't feel bad, my dealer hasn't even heard from Lionel or his wholesaler about them. Maybe I'll get a New Year's present!
My dealer said they are arriving to him this Friday or Saturday along with the other sd70s.
There are dealers who already have them on *bay...

Gerald, that’s great. Those folks are super customer service oriented. Hope it shows up soon for you. It’s a joy to watch and hear running.
Can't wait ED,i am looking forward to running it on my layout ,i hope i don't have a hard time attaching the figure on the top of the car ,i have saved the forum post on how to do it it looks pretty simple ,i do have one question ,does the figure run all the time or is there an on/off switch?
Awesome didn't know stuff like this existed.
Is the tomb car mechanism unique to this car?

Gerald. There is an on/off switch underneath the car. I had a bit of a struggle figuring out how to mount the soldier. It's easy. Here are pics. First one shows how the pole appears when you unpack. Then you turn the top part of it until a small detente holds it straight up. Look between the soldiers legs and you'll find a small hole to mount the soldier...I winced when I did it. :-0 Hope this helps.

Thanks ED for the pictures they will be a big help for me ,when you turn the pole does it turn clockwise or counter clockwise ? ,i don't want to turn it in the wrong direction & brake it.
You’re welcome. It doesn’t matter. Either way works. Key is to be sure it locks in the upright position.
