Hi CC, I can not see your picture because I'm at work and many attachments get block by our IT. But, I went to a toy show at the Pennsylvania Convention center in Phily and they had a huge Lego layout there. Boy I was really amazed at what those guys could do with those toys. Yea, and they did it without three rail track.
Lego Trains are great for the youngsters and maybe us oldsters too. You actually get to build your train. I have also seen some gigantic Lego layouts at train shows, the 4 and 5 foot skyscrapers are terrific.
There's a fella who built IRM's J. Neils #5 three truck Shay and Frisco Russian Decapod #1630 out of Legos. I'll have to try and dig up the pictures tonight.
I was at a Greenberg Show in Chantilly, VA several years ago and a large Lego setup was featured. One loco looked just like a Pennsy GG1 and it was close to O gauge size. Alas, no camera. I would buy that one as a kit.
My Maersk Steamship Line representative gave me a LEGOS Maersk Container Steamship kit at one of our meetings in Hong Kong. I have yet to assemble it but the picture on the box really looks great.
An earlier post (last week) about LEGOS mentioned a "White Tower" restaurant. I couldn't find it on their official site, does anybody have a photo of that kit?
I had a Lego train growing up and many other great Lego accessories. I was going to build a Lego train layout but last minute decided to go with O gauge.
Anyway, lego made a fantastic steam engine in green, I think called the emerald knight or something. Fantastic.
