I couldn't tell anything from that video, not enough focus.

 

Since it's a 4.5V item, I suspect it wants regulated voltage.  It will most likely run on my little regulator board, and it won't hurt anything to try it.  The nice part of the current limited regulator is that it's pretty safe to connect to something like this.

 

Such a deal I have for you Marty!  I happen to have a NIB Lemax AC power adapter with four output jacks that I have no use for.  Send me an email if you'd like it.

I'm going to set it on top of the car, but probably not until late next week. The flame is just under an inch in diameter. I expect i will be triming it down and using the top third of the flame, with the leds.

I have a plethora of 4.5V adapters and 3 x a plethora of 4.5V lemax thingys. Are you saying the guts of one of these things will convert 19V to an appropriate 4.5V?

Probably not, they have a DC adapter that's a 6VAC output, that goes into a little box with the four plugs, presumably a 4.5V regulator is inside the box.  It's similar to this, but it's white and the box with the plugs is a bit larger.
