I saw this cool lightning scene at McCormick-Stillman Railroad Park in Scottsdale. AZ which got me wondering how you all have modeled nature and weather into your layouts.

Some years ago 'Scalerail' posted a terrific video of his layout and he had it start to rain. Was fantastic!

Hi Trumptrain, great scenes. What product/s did you use to get the smooth and lumpy textures of the snow scenes? Very realistic.
Thanks,

Wildlife and nature along the Panhandle - Wild and Wonderful West Virginia!
Some deer graze along the right of way.
Meanwhile, under the bridge, we catch a glimpse of the elusive Bigfoot that roams the WV shore. Imagine how scared that boy on the inner tube is!

First photo is just a little corner of the layout where the deer like to check out the foliage.
The second photo is a scene i created to be placed on top of my train lift. I am still figuring out how to his the lift where I keep unused freight cars. I am in the process of building a retaining wall to hide the mechanisms.
