I kitbashed (enlarged the ice house) on a Suncoast kit for an icing platform that I am

pleased with.  I think the photo was up on here months ago.  I also thought I had another of those kits which I don't need, but can't quickly find it, although it might

be a Suncoast logging camp kit, of which I do have two.  The Suncoast icing platform kits were showing up on the internet auction fairly regularly....I vaguely think there is another brand kit for one, too...

I made the Atlas kit bigger, but I still don't really like it. I'd rather do the Berkshire Valley kit (like the one Hot Water has), or even better have Dave build me one from Crescent Locomotive Works.

This is a scratch build/kit bash of a BSV kit by a member of another forum I belong to. He does incredible work!

Korber also has made the Union Icehouse. Nice kit.

My grandpa ran an ice plant, the building is still in use (for storage not making ice anymore).  Its a HUGE warehouse complex.  I'll try to get some pictures to post because I want to build a replica of it on my layout.
