You do know you are on the OGR Forum right?  Serious posts and reading?  LOL!

Someone recently wrote something like this, Hey, I've got a transformer with a plug on one end, can anyone tell me how to use this?  (Or something like that)  This is all serious stuff!

Even though there are many that think that the O gauge world outside of York goes into total hibernation during York, that is definitely not true.  I love the York show, but there are far more O gaugers that can't go to it than there are that do go.

Welcome back York goers, hope that you had a great time.

For me, it was one of the best York Meets, ever. Aside from all the good stuff offered, it was really neat to see Elizabeth's reaction to her first York Meet. She loved it, most especially meeting all of the Forum members she got to meet in person. On the way home, I asked her what stood out most in her mind about York and she immediately said the people. Every one was so gracious to her and some came up at the hotel and in the halls and said I know you, I recognize your picture (from the Forum avatar). She can't wait to go back in April.

This forum and the York crowd is so "clickish"....if you're not in the circle of friends... then you just don't exist apparently. Its so funny to me because I saw it last Oct, and this year just proved it even more.

OGR and York are NOT the only O gaugers out there. 3 rail, 2 rail....it don't make a difference! I know so many people who WILL NOT post here, never been to York, don't know about York, or couldn't care less about a forum and being in "the circle of friends". Yet they still know more about, or have just as big of collections of anyone here.

It was very "eye opening", and some of it is even better than a daytime soap!

Thanks Rusty, don't know how I missed that on.

I think it's unfortunate you feel this way. I've don't consider myself to be in a click, and I still enjoy participating on this board most of the time. I think its natural for a large percentage of the board to post about the York show. Likewise, it's no surprise that the board gets quiet when the show is happening. It is THE major USA event in the world of "O" gauge trains.

I was into trains for a long time before I joined the TCA or went to York. Since I've been a TCA member, I've probably missed more York shows than I attended. My job, family responsibilities, and funds precluded going every time.

I know lots of people that have never been to York, and I only started going recently.  I don't treat non-York people any different than people that have been going to York for 30-40 years.  I ask them do they know about OGR and they say "What's that?".

I did notice you showed up this time at York, so now you're "an insider"!

OTOH, I love the social aspects of York, you get to meet people that you'd never meet any other way, so personally I look forward to the experience.  I admit I'm fortunate that I'm only a short drive away.
