Hello All,

I decided to catalog all the light bulb numbers for the items that I have, mostly Lionel trains.

I was amazed of the amount of different numbers there were.

Is there a method to the catalog numbers, EG: 4012=bayonet or 313=18volt (fictitious numbers as example)

.

I see a lot of folk hack the existing wire to LEDs.

Unfortunately I am not that confident in myself to do these wire modifications, which has led me to these

LED replacement bulbs Town & Country LED's

With all the different bulb numbers, is a bayonet bulb pretty much standard (diameter)?

Has anyone used these replacement LED bulbs?

I know that if wire LED bulbs myself it would be about 10 times cheaper, but like anything else

you pay for what you don't know.

Thanks,

Glenn...

I have used LED bulbs from here LED Bulbs to replace some Lionel bumper bulbs. They have several different sizes and colors. They have re-arranged their website, but was thinking they used to have some info on the different sizes. All I know (or think I know) is there are #5 (smaller base) and #10 (larger base) and screwed or bayonet.

They do list the old bulb numbers under each detailed bulb description for what their bulbs replace.
