I know I'm jumping the gun a bit, but since this thread is active...

Typically when is the delivery schedule updated with items from Volume II catalogs?

Typically winter and following spring. Some come earlier, some later due to factory production schedules. Im sure lionel is going to be filling containers to the top before shipping from overseas. Container prices are thru the roof!

Bummer, I was crazy enough to buy that 2-10-10-2 Valley Flyer and that big Turbine Diesel Army!  Bumping the date from Nov to Dec isn't the end of the world since I just finished table construction last week.  I'm 'hoping' to have  something running by December.  So, not the end of the world, but I sure was looking forward to seeing this massive trains in front of me!  Such is life.

It's disappointing for me because the 2-10-10-2 is my first major purchase from Lionel ever and I'm excited to get it. But it can't be helped. I've been facing shortages on repairs parts and whatnot at work for a while now so I expected this. It's all good.

It would be cool if Lionel gave us some product teasers and released some Youtube clips of prototype engines running or something. I forget what they call those engines they make before a production run. But that would scratch my itch for a while!

Looks like the schedule itself was last updated on 6/22 (from looking at the date in the URL itself)

I wonder when Lionel will (publicly, not just to dealers) update with more recent information.

Or we could look at the most recent schedule on the Lionel site:

http://lionel-nascar.biz/lionelship/210622.pdf

The original poster linked to a PDF file that one has to assume is a snapshot of the schedule and when a new one is uploaded, it has a new file name.  Better to bookmark the schedule html page itself and not the PDF:

http://www.lionel.com/shipping-schedule

Or you could read what I actually said in my post.

Look at that last part after the slash in the first URL you posted.... it says 210622 which works out to 2021, June, 22nd. (Exactly what I said in my previous post).

So my question stands, I wonder when Lionel will (publicly, not just to dealers) update with more recent information.

I.e. When do they plan on updating the schedule on their website (the second link you posted).

I will be looking forward to seeing the Lionel display at York, a great chance for "teasers." They should have a few prototypes and the uncatalogued "Amtrak" diesel (all blue version) announcements. I do not have a 2-10-10-2 on order but I do have a DOD Army Veranda coming my way.

I'll be missing York this year but maybe I'll see some clips. Seeing what we ordered moving on the tracks would be inspiring!
