Amazing!!!  I'm obviously out of touch with "how to" book buying trends.    But seriously, I can't even imagine spending those kind of dollars on a book like that -- no matter how good it is, and even with it authored by a name like Linn H. Wescott.

I can remember when these books were $5 or so, and the real expensive ones were $8.    Then I recall the "jump" to the $15-$20 price range and thought, "Wow!".  But $50 (used) and $150-$900 (new) is just insane!

Save yourself some serious $$$ for train-buying, and grab the cheap $10 copy if you can find it... Or better yet, ask some questions on this forum, and you'll be all set.  There's a wealth of great information from very talented modelers... right here!

Picked mine up on amazon for $15 or so two yrs ago.

If possible, have your local library do a nation wide search for it. I've done that before with results. Someone has to have one.

If I remember correctly, whquestions optic first came up several weeks ago, there was one on the bay for buy it now for round $13, it was snatched up the next day.

Patience.  in the meantime, do the library search.
