Lion Chief to the Rescue!

The Lion Chief Amtrak FT was also pressed into freight service. Appropriate, because FT's were originally for freight service. It surprised us by handling a 24-car consist with ease.

Nice looking layout. What lights are you referring to? That was always a venue were DCS/TMCC worked very, very well. Curious to know if the museum changed things around. I haven't been back since the last Labor Day show I did 2016. 

Might make a road trip down to B&O on Wednesday, hope to see you and the guys if so. 

SJC: Last year, we were running TMCC and DCS with no issue, and when they turned on some high-intensity lights, high in the ceiling when it got totally dark, control went haywire. TMCC unusable, some DCS locomotive would respond, other not. This time, I had a Legacy locomotive it it seemed unaffected. The FT took the place of a TMCC locomotive that not only lost control but had spurious coupler openings, etc. Some DCS seemed OK, but another would not, hence the U36B taking over on MF's Christmas Train.

There also are other new exhibits in the hall including a new helicopter that was right next to the layout.
