Is the Lionchief hardware available and sold separately as a stand alone? I have several conventional locomotives that I would like to upgrade with the Lionchief electronics to match up with other locomotives that I already have equipped with Lionchief. Thank You Bill

Can you be more specific? What exact models of LC hardware are you looking for? Some of the electronics are available, and you can run most any of them with the Universal remote.
John, I do use the Universal Remote. I would like to install the hardware into American Model diesel locomotives. The locomotives would be GP-7/9, GP-18, GP-35 and FP-7. I am not concerned about exact matching sounds but rather reliable operation. If the hardware is large and bulky, I would place the electronics's inside a baggage or a box car with a jumper cable between the engine and the host car. I have done this method with Electric Railway Commander and Mini-Commander hardware where space is an issue and this method has worked very well for me. I guess the simplest thing to do is to ask you directly what is available. Thank You Bill
