I have a LionChief Plus Hudson which has performed flawlessly.  Now that I am constructing my Christmas layout, it has fits and starts at several places on the new track arrangement.  It is on the backside of the top level in the attached pic.  Several track areas across a 5-7 foot length.  I cleaned the track yesterday with "goo gone" on a rough sponge and then used paper towel to remove the excess moisture.  It seemed to clean the track, which was already in decent condition.  I am wondering if perhaps a wood screw in the plywood under the fastrack might be causing a short.  Is that possible?  Anyone have experience with LionChief intermittent track power?  I have to get this resolved because there is a long tunnel on the backside which is going to be covered by scenery and will be inaccessible.  Future breakdowns in the area would be very troublesome.  Thanks

You need to put feeders wires in and check center rail pins on fastrack. Lionel fastrack having trouble with center pins not making contact i would take a pair of pliers bend the pin inward on each section. I don't know why screw short out it maybe sticking up to high and i would take your hand push your engine across the bad part see if you can see anything wrong.
