Lionel 134 corner shade

Hi guys,

I restored a 134 station, but I'm having trouble getting one of the lights on the front corner to light. I had to order repro shades and had to epoxy the little nut onto them so they can thread onto the filigree. I feel like I used too much epoxy on the one that's not working. Could that be interfering with the shade being able to be grounded? I'm learning as I go, thanks for any information.
