Well with Legacy, you won't have emergency off for the power, but you would still have all engines stop when the emergency triangle is activated.

BTW, you mean paralleling the two bricks. They also have excellent short circuit breakers in them.

I hope they're wired in parallel.  Truthfully, I have a problem with running more than 10 amps to the track.  We tried that with our modular layout, and when a derailment occurs, you can have some significant welding going on!  I'd separate into power districts and use a single PH180 on each.

Another issue with paralleling bricks is sometimes the normally excellent PH180 circuit breaker doesn't function well in parallel mode.

Lower left is Parallel PH 135's before the PH 180's.  Lots of power, again on de-rail you have significant arc and spark welding. I power the block power controllers from the two silver box TPC's and then fuse each track block at 7.5 amps max.   Fuses are pictured upper left.

I paralleled 180s linked to a TPC 400 back in the day for running two long lighted passenger consists in the same power district. However I agree with Gunrunnerjohn. It is best to establish blocks or even better equip your passenger cars with Leds as replacement for the incandescent bulbs.

The 180 PoHos trip very quickly yet you can do some rail pitting if a derailed car drags for a few seconds.

Thank you everyone for the great tips , my layout is 25 x 25 and only modeling freight switching very little if any passenger cars , I plan to only run about 3 to 6 engines at a time maybe 25 to 40 scale miles per hour max do you still think that the entire layout in series might still be a problem ?

I personally will never run more than 10A to a power district, having seen the damage that can be done.
