Am rebuilding a post-war Lionel 2332 GG1. Wanted to know if there was a correct number of ball bearings that should be used in each section along the motor's armature shaft. 8 came out of each section, but not sure that's what it started with. Any help would be appreciated. Tom LoPresti

Rumor has it that 10 per section came from the factory. Was it always 10, I don't know. I've also heard that 11 will probably fit if you desire with no harm.

I own two 2332s. Although pulling power is not what the twin motored GG1s are capable of, these older versions run smooth and quiet. It may have something to do with the nickel wheel rims.
