Lionel 6-18000 B6 switcher

Hello all, does anyone know where i can get a hall sensor for the lionel b6 switcher? I ordered one online and it fits (all elctronics) and it does not work. The original one broke off (due to age). Mine broke awhile ago, but procratinated til my friend wanted me to clean his up. Any suggestions?
