For inventory purposes, can anyone tell me what year these cars were made and what catalog, if any, they appeared in?

Sorry these are 6-29191 in the 2006 catalog.
The 6-19184 looks like they were in 1999's catalog or at least from what I can find produced in 1999.

Unfortunately, the set you refer to is the full scale 21" set. The set I have listed is for the just under 15" models plus the catalog numbers are different. Thanks anyway; but, I am still looki0ng.

Thanks Paul. As an aside, when I purchased this set several years ago, I did buy it from TRAINZ.
The set is from the 1999 Heritage catalog. It's on page 20 and 21. It cataloged for $499.99. I will send you a PM with the catalog pdf.
