Here is my situation.  My MTH Fire Station and Gas Station make the red light blink on my ZW-L when activated.  The amp draw goes over 10 and eventually the channel on the transformer turns off.  I disconnected the lights and operating items 1 by one from the terminal block.  I found that removing the Hobby Shop  the amps went from 10 to 8 at 14 volts.  If I activate either gas/fire station the amps stay at 8.

All functions on the Hobby Shop work perfectly.  I can't see the Hobby Shop drawing 2 amps by itself, as normal.

The high amp draw occurs when the shop is just lit.  When I activate the trains in the shop there is no perceptible increase in amp draw.  The high amp draw happens in what I call the resting state (just lights), which also have the small operating RR signal inside the hobby shop.

Can someone offer a little insight to help point me in the right direction?  Thanks.

I might be giving too much information to digest.  Restating my request for help:

Please, can someone measure their amps on the ZW-L gauge with just the Hobby Shop hooked up to their ZW-L?

I measured a reading of slightly more than 2 amps at 14 volts.  It has to be too high compared to other structures and lights on my layout.

If it is supposed to be lower, then I start disassembly to disconnect the RR lights and motor from the board looking for a big drop.

I don't want to take it apart if it is normal.  I emailed Lionel and phoned requesting the amp draw for this structure.  I am still waiting.
