Does anyone know if the above board provides 5VDC regulated power for the fan motor using the 12V input to this board?

In context, I'm trying to use this board on an TAS smoke unit and provide input power using an ERR Cruise Commander "Feature' output of 12VDC.... This all stems from converting my Atlas"O" RS-1 to ERR components.

Thanks for any help!

I agree with you 110% John! After dealing with A/C engine parts for 40+ years, IIMG_1790 always take the P/N off the article in question - shown in the attached photo. The sad part is the Bill of Lading with this latest parts order DID have the correct P/N-I just didn't cross-check it-dumb me!

Again, thanks for confirming it does regulate the fan motor voltage on this board.

John: The more I really look at this PCB, the more odd stuff I see; " Lionel Trains' and "USA" are mis-spelled. I notice it says "3rd Rail' along one edge. I wonder if this is a Chinese "knock-off" of the regular Lionel part?

I purchased it in a n order last week during the 50% off sale @ LIONEL HQ. BTW, the smoke resistor did come with the fiberglass sheath over-since removed.

As supplied from Lionel, that board will not work well.  It has the older style ceramic resistor installed which is known to not give off much smoke.  Do yourself a favor and order a new 27 ohm resistor 600-8141-055.  Install that in place of that ceramic resistor.  You will get awesome results.  I got this tidbit from Mike Reagan.  I upgraded every loc that had that board with the new resistor.  Best money spent.
