An older gentleman not far from me is a retired Jeweler and he owned a Lionel authorized service station many years ago. I'm lucky to have met him. While I do most basic things myself, there's some things I'm not the best at. That's where he comes in. I picked up a very nice pre-war 763 and whistle tender. They both needed help internally. Here's a picture of whistle plate he custom fabricated. I think it came pretty good and it revived this 80 some year old whistle. I also had him affix a post-war knuckle coupler on since that is what I run. When I picked this up it also came with a set of original post post-war Madison cars. Now they can work together. He's into the engine now and it sounds like he has plenty to do in there also. I'll post pictures as he gives them.
