Interested to know if the Lionel accessory transformer at 1.8 AMPS is sufficient to independently power several remote FT switches as well as the FT uncoupling track on small layout. Switches have been powered using track power from old CW-80 without problem but uncoupling track seems to need more juice - using near full throttle in neutral setting. Uncoupling track section manual mentions not to use the accessory terminals of CW-80 - can someone shed light on the reason Lionel provided this guidance. This is reason I am looking at the small accessory transformer.
Train requires slightly less than 4 volts when operating on layout - assuming I am using the multimeter correctly.
Thanks in advance.
