Anyone know where one can find parts for Lionel (Or MTH) Articulated engines, like swivel hinges, etc?
Anyone have any dead broken up articulateds or display models you took parts form and are willing to part with?

Have you looked at the Lionel site for the exact parts? They ship fast and have many parts. Very helpful to me when I've asked them.
Maybe Brasseuers?

Yep. They don't have the part in need. It's the steam exhaust pipe (shaped like an "S") sits dead center between the frontmost drivewheels and front of boiler - basically swivels opposite the boiler around curves and limits the amount of swing like a catch-lever...also keeps the front of the boiler from bottoming out when riding over bumpy, or uneven track.
Would MTH part FB-1500028 work? I bet they are pretty similar, right?
You might think about throwing out an item number on the locomotive in question. Some members have a different access to parts.
FWIW, that MTH part number is in stock at MTH.

Needed for engine: 6-11337
Part number is # 135 on the lionel diagram, and ID is: 6101337027
I would bet if you called Lionel and asked for Dean Brasseur you may get lucky. Just because something states unavailable, it might be restocked.

Tried asking for Dean - their response was - he won't speak to me. Went nowhere, but thanks for suggestion anyway...
eBay is a source of parts, frames, boilers etc. It's catch-as-catch-can, but they are there. I know; I have way too many odd parts waiting for a project. I can't live long enough...
Simpler parts can be fabricated, you know. Some raw material (like brass), some patience and time - things can be made. It depends.

Thanks. I checked everything. I'm thinking of just going with the MTH Yellowstone part of the same type. It isn't shaped quite the same, but it can't be THAT different considering they're both scale reproductions of the same proto-type. Worth a shot for $6 I think.
I will bow out as nobody at Lionel would make that statement.
