I've just installed the Balloon Ride on my layout. It went up and down twice and on the third landing at the platform, it didnt stop.  I got the historical clunking-banging sound with the string holding the balloon super tight against the platform.

So, I powered off and read Boxcar Bills comments.  I pulled it apart, pulled out some string to slaken off the balloon, assembled it and it ran OK for two more landings.

My question is, which one of the micro switches controls the landing at the platform and which one controls the far away balloon's landing? The one on the lower left, or the one on the upper right? I see the adjustment screws on both and I want to make sure I adjust the right one... I've torn this thing apart twice now, on a very busy layout and my patience is running thin.  Thanks

Randy I had the same problem.....but I found that you must have the balloon line straight to the top of ceiling from the base where the line goes in the house. Also try different fishing line as when my weighted balloon was going up or down it was spinning like crazy. I put different line on and made sure my line was straight to the house and amazingly works like a champ. I hope this helps

Thanks Tim,

I've had nylon fish line on from the beginning, so am good there.

I double checked the alignment too..

I also bit the bullet and took it apart one more time and tweeked the upper screw on the adjustment... She's all back together and running.  But when it gets  close to the platform I shut off the power. When I turn it back on, the balloon goes in the opposite direction as it should. So I havent seen if my adjustment actually works, I can't bare having to pull it apart again to slacken off the line again if it doesnt work... ahahaaa !

Thanks a million for your input...

Randy
