HI, this trolley was available in 2015. I am curious to find out if this is run with a conventional transformer. I'm having a challenge finding specs/info on this car. Thank you
Yes, the newer Lionel Birneys will operate using a conventional AC transformer. For best effect, I recommend eating a Nathan's Hot Dog while operating the car, but this is not required. \
I have both the Coney Island and the Palisades Park models. Both work with a postwar ZW transformer (or any other), and I can run with my ZW-L in either conventional mode or using command mode and just controlling the track voltage.
If you are going to have the Nathan's Hot Dog, don't forget the fries. As an addition, you could also go with clams on the half shell!
