I just ordered the Lionel double floodlight tower (6-24103). When I get it I want to replace the bulbs to LEDs. I'd like to order the LED bulbs now so I can get to work once the tower arrives. Does anyone know what type bulbs (and base) that come with this tower so I can find the appropriate LEDs? I cannot find a definitive answer on line. Thanks!

The double tower that I have came with a small
screw in bulb. The direction sheet talks about a
plug in light so there may be both types
of lamps.
I do not think you will find a small screw in LED.
I replaced the lights in mine with just small LEDs after
removing the bulbs and sockets.
Even if you find small LED lamps, the cost to replace 16
lamps would be very costly as much as the tower
cost. Using LEDS from a Christmas light string would
be much cheaper.
Thanks guys. Jeff, I actually have bought items from dansdrumheads in the past. They are very cool. I just do not know what lights he sells that are appropriate for the tower. But maybe pa is right. I'll just replace the entire light mechanism to make it work for my purposes.
