Hi, I have a set of MTH 30-11014 Operating Crossing Flasher w/Sound and the FasTrack activator track. I recently re-did my layout and am now having problems with this piece. It keeps dinging even when no train is on the track. Each signal and the speaker has a red and black wire. The activator track also has a wire, I connected the center rail wire to the red and the outside to the black of each piece using a wire nut. The breaks in the activator track are both on the same side. This used to work properly before I switched around my layout... any ideas?
Problem number 2. We have the Lionel NJ Transit freight set and whenever the engine goes around one piece of track (036 remote right hand switch track), it derails. I've switched the track with other remote switches and it still happens. We also have a few MTH trolleys and other train sets, such as the Lone Ranger set, a Pennsylvania Flyer set and some Thomas trains, these trains have no problem going around the curve with that switch... any ideas on this one?
