LIONEL FASTRACK BLOCK SECTION | O Gauge Railroading On Line Forum

I have a 10 foot section of fastrack in between two switch tracks that I need to make into a block section. I don't want to pull up the track to put in two block sections and I was thinking to put a couple of cuts in the centre rail at each end with my Dremel. I was wondering if anyone has tried this before and would like to know if it worked. I have a feeder wire going to the section of track and would just put in a toggle switch.

Yes. A Dremel cut would work fine. I've done it numerous times. Easy to make custom size block sections when you need to also.
