Please be so kind as to explain the below Lionel switch #'s:  Can I substitute the part number on the right to replace the part number on the left ???

6-12046 rt turnout 036       = 6-81946

6-16829 rt turnout  060       = 6-81950

6-16832 Wye turnout  072   = 6-81954

I haven't verified this to be 100% true for these specific SKU numbers but it's highly likely that one of each has a traditional hard-wire interface and wired switch controller, while the other also has a radio interface to accept TMCC commands as an additional means of throwing the switch, just as @ThatGuy's summary suggests.
