I just received the two latest Lionel conventional GG-1s (6-38234, 6-38235) from the Lionel 2012 Vol 1 catalog. Both of them wobble terribly when moving down the track. It happens whether they are run slowly or quickly. It fact they wobble so badly that the constantly derail on O-31 Realtrak, both straights and curves. I included a video. Does anyone else have these engines and if so do they exhibit the same behavior? I thought I’d check the forum’s experiences before I call Lionel. And I will be calling Lionel because as it stands these engines can’t be run at all.

Oh, and please forgive the primitive layout! I tore down my RealTrax layout and one of these days I’ll get started on the Scaletrax I bought.
!!!!!!!!!!!! Did you check for the traction tires and see if they are mounted correctly as they could be twisted around the wheel and if not then i imaged the wheels is really defective and SEND it back !!!!!!! .
