I've done all the step in getting this engine ti accept a new id and run. I did a hard reset. I" still doing something wrong. Help please

Did all of that. I go thru the reset steps then the whistle blows as if it's a done deal. but when I put in run again nothing happens
The prog/run switch may be shorted and its in program all the time. Best pull the shell and take a look and check with an ohmmeter.
Try it in conventional if you haven’t already. In conventional with the program/run in program it will run in one direction.

when I jigled the wireless drawbar it ran in convention. So I think there a problem with this wireless drawbar

The draw bar only carries serial data for sound in the tender. The engine will run by itself without the tender. There my be a loose connector in the engine.
