What are the funeral car and passenger cars made of. Plastic? Thanks. Tyler.

Plastic/ABS bodies, fairly heavy pressed-metal chassis, metal trucks, wheels. Note, the LFT and its cars do not have normal couplers, but hooks and tabs. the photo below shows the coupler metal hookb that is on all the cars. On the rear of the tender you see a type of projecting small circular peg with a hole. One car only has a hook that fits in that peg's hole, all the others have a slotted metal tab that accepts the metal hook. These work fine, but . . . you can't hook the train up to anything else.

Thank you, sir.
My Lincoln Funeral Train arrived...and it was broken.
I called Lionel and they recommended that I replace the piece myself to prevent further damage sending the locomotive in. They are sending me all the pieces I need free of charge. HOWEVER, I am already nervous about touching this thing. Now, I have to take the cow catcher's screws out and replace. Talk about sweating bullets.
Lionel89,
I would tell them it's not a problem what so ever for me to fix my brand new train, I am a graduate MIT engineer, my going rate is $190.00 an Hr with a 2 Hr min, send you the billing cost when I am done with the repair.
