My M1A smoke stack is popped up and will not stay back down. There is a super chuffer installed and not sure if that is the problem. Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

Easy- you screwed up when putting the boiler shell on and the smoke unit is not aligned to the stack.
So yes, related to installing the super chuffer- but it's an assembly error when putting the smoke unit and boiler smoke stack alignment.

So the smoke unit is mounted on a bracket to the lower frame, and has a small brass cup facing up. The smoke stack inside the boiler shell has a matching protruding tube tip of the smoke stack that mates the cup. Like I said above- when you installed the boiler shell, you got the alignment wrong and the smoke stack did not seat into the cup, and then when you cranked down the screws you rammed up the press fit stack right out of the boiler shell.
