Look at those prices, those were the days! 
All we need is a time machine. 
About $14.25 in today's dollars for the two-rail three-foot section.
I have a little of this - the brass rail version - on my layout. Fitters and such. Imagine Ross track made with solid brass rail, and stapled to fiber ties, but flexible. Quite a mix. Nice low-profile ties, too. I like track that sits low. Unfortunately, most 3RO track does not.
