I have a 20' x 4' location for a layout. I have access to the ends and front so reaching across works out okay. Each end is drawn differently. Fastrak 036 curves. I could probably push to use 048 but not to 060. But that would cut down on the siding length.

While both ends will be built the same, the right side is more pleasing to my eye, but the left version would add about 40+ inches of siding length. The idea is a seasonal theme change through the year, Christmas, Halloween, etc.. Also, using Mianne base standard size would only require a slight overhang of the top on the 45. Below is another alternative.

What kind of trains do you prefer to run?  The answer will inform the sweep of the curves and length of sidings.  The 4-foot constraint puts a limit on running larger steamers and it will cause overhang on many passenger cars.  Do you have any flexibility at the ends to go wide enough to accommodate O72 curves?  The S-curves on the loops might present a challenge for longer equipment.
