Train ran great for a few minutes. Son had it in reverse then stopped it. Now all it will do is surge in reverse and not run. I've cleaned track and contacts on Loco with iso-alcohol. Any ideas? Hope the video will show clues for you experienced guys.

Turn OFF smoke unit, turn ON reverse unit switch, try again.
Is this the 0-8-0 switcher set?
Video wouldn't load.
This is the LionChief.
Smoke is off. Only other switch is "chuff." It's off also. Have tried with them on and off also.
Check for battery condition in the remote.
Have tried 3 sets! Of course they were batteries in a drawer. I'll get anot her new pack and try.
When it does the surging, the light on the Loco surges also, as does the red light where the power cord plugs into the track.
Well, now you are describing a overload... check all track & wheels/axles for tinsel & other metallic debris. Remove all cars, & loco if needed, to narrow it down to one item, or to the track.
I'll do a more thorough job of that again, along with batteries and report back
Did all the above. No change.
I'm sure I'm missing something somewhere. ...
Will try to post video on FB page for OGR if anyone cares to check.it out.
You did all of the above... so it does the same thing with nothing on the track?
Correct.
