Lionel "Premium" app?

Hello everybody,

Does anyone know if Lionel plans to offer a premium version of there bluetooth app similar to MTH? I am currently awaiting my first Legacy engine from the 2021 catalog (all Railking and LC+ right now). I am currently looking for a good price on a 990 legacy command system but would hate to purchase and then find out Lionel may offer a premium version of the app in the near future that will open more features for the legacy models. I currently have a MTH Wifi setup up now and would hate to add another command system. If lionel would offer a premium app for purchase I would rather go that route.

Thanks Marty, I know that's what I would need to run legacy with the MTH premium app. Was just wondering since lionel trains you can now run with just the train and app if there would be more features available at some point with just using the train, app and powered track. I guess the app is limited because alot of the legacy features require a command base to communicate with. Just wasnt sure if that may change at some point and the features can be offered through using the app only.
