can these things be bad, Switch tower acces, all hooked up,

light works,  running the animation thru switch (this is the 1st time) for 1 of these,

I dont have a 10000 - 20000, layout,  very simple 1 train, with a lot of lights !!

are they directional ( wouldnt think so) since both wires go to U, on zw,

missing something ??!!! must be cause no little men wondering around tower

The manual shows a slide switch, you mentioned in your post a little red button switch. If it is a button and not a slide you may have to hold it down continuously, as they tend to be a momentary switch.

Another thought, rather than hold the jumper, just clip it in, like the wiring diagram shows for light and animation all the time, for the test.

What's your result?

I recently got the latest release of the 192 Control Tower, and had no problems wiring it. Just follow directions in the guide that came with it. As I recall you can wire it several different ways to control the light and animation in several combinations.

 

If I had any issues, it's with those blasted terminal clips. Very hard to use I think.

Have you checked the accessory voltage? Perhaps this one wants more power.
